Open Access
Books available as Open Access are not available on the Glassboxx app. All our OA books are hosted and available for download on Project MUSE and OAPEN and on many of the sites listed above, including JSTOR. All our OA titles are listed in DOAB.
About Our Ebooks
We use the Glassboxx service from Firsty Group for delivery of our eBooks. This makes it very simple and quick for you to get the books you’ve purchased, in apps on your iOS and Android phones and tablets, and Windows and macOS computers. It also means our books are protected from being copied, pirated and tampered with, so we keep our authors happy as well.

Institutional customers can purchase eBooks through our partner eBook vendors and aggregators. Important e-platform partners that we use are:
EPUBs
Arc books published since January 2025 are compliant with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. These are standards for online publication which enable content to be fully accessible through assistive technologies such as digital e-readers and phone apps. If you are reading within a library, to ensure the most streamlined reading/auditory experience with Arc’s EPUBs, we recommend the free desktop e-reader, Thorium.
